-  Always use a heat-safe, stable container on a heat-resistant surface.  -  Keep away from draughts and anything flammable, and out of reach of children and pets.  -  Never leave a burning candle unattended; extinguish fully before moving the vessel or reusing the sand.  -  Do not add water to extinguish.  -  If using floating arrangements, use a wide, stable bowl and never leave them unattended.
